After a week of post-Easter rest (mostly because I had the chickenpox *insert sad puppy dog face here*) we are finally getting back into the working groove! Despite today being another Irish bank holiday, we excitedly got back to the office to get a head start on our work for this week. Our main task this week will be finishing preparations for a youth retreat which we will give this Saturday for the young people of the Adamstown area. We’ve planned to model the format around the several Confirmation retreats we gave earlier this year meaning we’ll be focusing on recognizing our own gifts, understanding our call to use them to serve others, and seeing how the Holy Spirit supports us in using those gifts.

ALSO, my mom arrives in Wexford on Wednesday followed by my dad on Sunday! I am SO excited to see my parents for the first time since the end of August and can’t wait to show them around this place that has been my home and introduce them to the people who have been my family over the last 8 months!

It is incredibly strange to think how just about a year ago I was finishing up my FINAL final exams as a Notre Dame undergrad and preparing to enter into a super fun week with my fellow seniors before our families arrived for graduation and our lives would change forever. Life has been incredibly different over the last year but I have had so many wonderful new experiences and been so blessed by the Clonard parish community as well as my Teach Bhríde community. A big thank you to all of you who continue to support us and lift us up in prayer. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as well!
