We’ve been hard at work through our last week of rehearsals, or as our director Joy calls it, “Tech Week,” for this weekend’s Resurrection Play! The cast, musicians, and many other members of the parish have been hard at work for the past few days putting the final pieces together for the performances, and we’re all very excited to put on the final production before an audience. Teach Bhríde would like to thank all of the individuals who have helped with the production of and preparation for the play, whether it be the cast, musicians, set construction team, office staff, or anyone else who has contributed to the production. It’s been a total team effort, and the play would not be possible without everyone’s help. We are looking forward to seeing the fruits of everyone’s efforts this weekend with two exciting and prayerful performances!

While this week has been extremely busy with rehearsals and logistical preparations, our immersion in the play has served as a great reminder for all of us to rejoice in this Easter season and continue to look to Christ’s Resurrection as our hope and salvation. The Resurrection Play celebrates the Good News that Christ brought to the world with His victory over death, and reminds us of the call to love others as He has loved us. May the Holy Spirit bless our performances with faithful and joyous proclamations of God’s love, and may our discipleship in the joy of Christ’s Resurrection continue to grow throughout this Easter season.

This year’s Resurrection Play, “To See You,” will be performed at 8pm at Clonard Church this Friday, 16 May and Saturday, 17 May. We hope to see many of our friends at the performances this weekend, and we hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed week!

Peace,
Ben
