A month from today will be the last official day for Teach Bhríde Season 2. So strange.

This evening we said our first goodbye to our great friend, Fr. John-Paul Sheridan. As he did for the group last year, Fr. John-Paul gave us lifts to and from Dublin each month so we could celebrate Mass with the Notre Dame ACE community there. Meanwhile he shared his wisdom and support, introduced us to fabulous music from every genre, and showed us several other particularly lovely places and things in Ireland which we probably never would have discovered otherwise. I (and I’m sure the rest of my community members would agree) am so grateful for the generosity, support and friendship he showed us over the last 9 months. He’s headed to the Notre Dame campus for the summer to do some work there and we wish him the very best!

Things are finally restored to more order back at the House of Brigid considering that we’re finally all back together in the house, just the four of us. Tomorrow will be the last Class Mass of the year and it’s sure to be a good one. Jess just finished hand-making a crown of flowers for the students to present to Mary as part of a May crowning portion of the Marian themed Class Mass. (I know, that girl sure is crafty!)

After that, the next big thing on our plate is continuing our preparations for Fr. Martin’s Silver Jubilee Mass which will be held during this Saturday’s Vigil Mass and will celebrate his 25th anniversary as a priest. Both our own Vigil Choir and the Folk Group are combining forces to provide the music for Saturday’s Mass. Fr. Martin handpicked the music himself and we are making every effort to make sure it’s a very special celebration for him!

While we’re all very aware that we have just one month left here together, we’re really going to make it count! We greatly appreciate all of your support and prayers. Peace and blessings to you all!
