This week was another busy one for the House of Brigid. One highlight was our experience of recording two radio shows, presented by the Christian Media Trust, which is offering a series of reflections on Lent from both the Catholic Church and the Church of Ireland. The four of us talked about what Lent means to us personally as well as our experiences of Lent both here in Ireland and back in the States. Working on this project gave all of us the chance to really reflect on what we were hoping to get out of this Lent, which I think we all appreciated as we entered that season this week.

Patrick and I also started the March class Mass with one of Kennedy Park’s fifth classes. This Mass will also focus on the theme of Lent, and we’re hoping that the readings and songs we’ve chosen will really help the kids come to a fuller understanding of the Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

We’ve also welcomed a couple of visitors from Notre Dame who are here for spring break, and are looking forward to spending the next weekend or week with them!

So long story short, we’ve got lots going on, and we certainly appreciate all of your prayers!
