Today was the first Class Mass for Kennedy Park School, and Molly and Dan brought up one of the fifth classes to the church to offer another Mass for Mary in this month of the rosary. The kids all did a great job with their respective roles, and a good number of parents turned up to support their kids.

Kurt and I also headed into Scoil Mhuire to begin practicing for the Christmas Carol Service (yep, it’s that time already!). We began work with the fourth classes on the carol they’ll contribute to the evening.

This evening, Fr. Martin and Sr. Mary joined us for dinner and a brief catch-up meeting. Things have been busier than usual in Clonard lately, so having a chance to slow down and make sure we’re all on the same page was important. We discussed everything from how to follow up on the Adult Faith Formation sessions to the schedule for musicians at Christmas liturgies. It was a really great chance to catch everyone up, especially as Dan, Kurt, and Molly are leaving tomorrow to walk the last stretch of the Camino de Santiago in Spain so this week will serve as sort of a mid-term break for us. When they return, we’ll be in the midst of it all again, working on the next round of Class Masses, preparing for Advent and Christmas, and beginning plans for the Thanksgiving celebration we’ll share with many of our supporters at the parish. I’m hoping to get a lot of groundwork laid for all of that while I’m on my own this week, so check back here for updates on everything!
